Calling all Pirates and Mermaids! 

Come set sail with David Engel’s “Pirate School: Sea Dreams!”

This madcap, interactive comedy variety show is coming to life on the Historic Paramount Abilene Theater's stage on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. 

This variety show is David Engel’s signature act that tours nationwide to over 80 libraries, camps, community events, arts centers and festivals.

During this show, attendees will learn the finer points of mischief and become "good pirates" by cooperating and carousing together while getting the chance to live out their dreams of the Golden Age of the Buccaneer! This popular act captivates adventure-questing kids and their caregivers with slapstick antics, adept magic, cartoon-like sound effects, eye-popping puppetry, eccentric props and full-audience participation.
