Into the Woods is a fast paced musical that intertwines familiar fairy tale characters like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Jack and the beanstalk, who find themselves on different journeys through the same mystical forest. Premiering on Broadway in 1987, Into the Woods (music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by James Lapine) has become an international staple in musical theatre. The ACS Theatre Department is delighted to bring this Tony award winning score to life in a bright and colorful interpretation that is fun for the whole family. ACT I ONLY.
