This fall, the Abilene Railroad Festival will be returning to the Texas & Pacific Railway cultural district corridor of North First street. The mission of this community wide event is to remind our city of its history in the railroad industry by providing unique involvement, subject specific presentations and incorporate introductory, family friendly interactive engagement that also values the perspective of railroad enthusiasts.

There will be activities at many of Abilene’s downtown venues including Frontier Texas, The Grace Museum, The Historic T&P Depot, Community Foundation of Abilene, Elks Arts Center, The National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature, The Historic Paramount Theatre, and the Abilene Public Library.

This festival has something for everyone with vendors coming from all over Texas: railroad museums, production companies, guest speaker presentations, food trucks, scavenger hunts, local venues, railroad safety presentations, and more!
